Malcolm Turnbull was announced as the inaugural chairman of the NSW Net-Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board to advise the NSW government on climate policy but emphasised he was speaking in a private capacity as a landholder in the Upper Hunter region. “It’s like a lunar landscape … There is massive devastation that’s going [on].” He also called for a public inquiry into the whole rehabilitation program.
